“About three things I was absolutely positive….first Edward was a Vampire, second there was a part of him, and I don’t know how dominant that part might me which thirsted for my blood…..and third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him” These were the sentences capturing my mind after I turned the last page of the novel. It was unbelievable that the novel was finished and I was still mesmerized in the magical world of the story created by the author. The words “fan” and “fascinated” could easily be described by any person who has truly and … [Read More...]

Hunt for the Skinwalker I was gripped with fear at what I was watching in the headlights of the car. At first it seemed to be a un-clothed man shrouded in some sort of an animal hide. A violent storm was raging and the rain was falling in buckets as I concentrated focusing my eyes in on the figure not ten feet in front of the car. There was a flash of light and what followed can only be described as 20 minutes of pure terror that left both myself and my vehicle in shambles, we both were a total wreak. There have been countless stories about … [Read More...]
Vampires - Do we really see them as monsters? Vampires always fascinated us, it is an undeniable fact. And after the frenzy that the Twilight Saga has created, do you still wonder why? It's not so hard to guess. First of all, vampires are the only pretty monsters, don't we all agree. It's kind of hard to find an interest in fur-covered or rotten or simply rotten creatures (although werewolves have stepped up a notch lately and I am a big wolf fan myself). Myths, stories and legends, quileute or not, that talk about the world's most beautiful and … [Read More...]
In the "Time of Beginnings", Kweeti traversed the whole world. The first person he met was a white man. At that time the whites were innocent and un-educated. Kweeti taught this man how to dig metal (mammook mola) and many new things. Shortly he came to know everything that white people know now. In addition, Kweeti said to the white man that when he chose to marry, he must claim only one wife and not pay for her. Kweeti next came to Beaver, who was sharpening a stone and singing. Kweeti asked him what he was doing. Beaver, who by this time had made the … [Read More...]
Vampires have been sprouting up in unusual places since the release of Stephenie Meyers Twilight Saga. I recently received a report as of yesterday by a girl only identified by her first name of Taylor that vampires are roaming the halls of Westwood Middle School in Gainesville. I usually don't pay much attention to such reports but given the specifics of the case has given me pause for thought. Just what do these vampires want? She stated they were particularity concerned about their sharp teeth, hopefully they have good dental hygiene habits. Ensuring … [Read More...]

Edward Cullen warns Bella Swan early on in “New Moon,” that you don’t want to provoke the Volturi. However, that's exactly what Edward plans to do when he later believes his sweetheart has bit the dust. What are the Volturi? In Stephenie Meyer’s ubiquitous Twilight universe they are a sort of vampire ruling class led by a trio of three thousand year old dudes: Aro, Marcus and Caius. They live on a lavish estate in the Italian city of Volterra which they rarely leave, except under extreme circumstances. You would think practically indestructible vampires … [Read More...]
Quileute Stories Native American cultures spread out across the Great Plains of North America recite stories. These stories are as old as humankind and are passed down generation to generation around camp fires. They survive in our Contemporary living rooms during holidays and additional gatherings, when we take part in family customs and share family stories in very much the same way that the Quileute storytellers learned their stories by hearing the Quileute stories of their tribe. Even though the stories of the Quileute might be published in books, … [Read More...]
Quileute legends which are pronounced as quill-yoot legends are the stories that have passed to American Indian from the Quileute tribe. The Quileute myths have characters that bring up real shadowlike images in your mind when you read or hear them. Some of the characters from these myths are Q’waiti, Thunderbird, Raven and Dask’ija. The Twilight book series explains the Quileute legend of "The Cold Ones", which is written by Stephenie Meyer. Stephenie Meyer has made up this mythical quileute tale to incorporate vampires into her novel. She has actually … [Read More...]
